I'm an artist/designer with curiosity towards and interest in my fellow human beings. Aren't we strange and mysterious beings with all our different cultures and subcultures, our individual ​tastes and dreams and lifestyles?

My name is Tanja. I was born and raised in Lapland, Finland and I am currently living in Oulu (also in Finland). I've loved drawing for as long as I can remember, and so it became my way of life. I am an eager problem-solver and "there, I fixed it"- person. As I've tried to find an occupation close to my natural tendencies, I've acquired education both in fine arts and design.

I like languages, and the little details of culture that they reveal. I've studied Russian, French, Italian, Japanese and Korean. It seems I can learn fast. Unfortunately, the languages only stick with me when I have the chance to  use them. Of the languages mentioned above, I am only fluent in Japanese. This is because I've spent a year and a half in studying at Yamaguchi Prefectural University as an exchange student, and working in Izumo for five years.

My hobbies are tea ceremony, reading and crafts. I also like to go jogging for exercise, and do yoga or roller skate every once in a while. I like the outdoors (when it's warm outside) and trying out new recipes for cooking.
